The Ohio and Erie Canal National Historic Corridor

Tuscarawas Valley and Southward

This site will promote the visual, musical, intellectual, spiritual, architectural, recreational, and gastronomic delights of the southern part of the Ohio and Erie Canal National Historic Corridor, from Bolivar through the Tuscarawas Valley to Zoar, Newcomerstown, Roscoe Village, and beyond. We take great pride, in the unofficial Sports Corridor, in pointing out the Cy Young Memorial in Newcomerstown.

When the first European settlers came to this beautiful valley, they had difficulty pronouncing the indigenous name "Tuscarawas", so they named their settlement "Gnaddenhutten".
